DialCare, provided with your membership, is a modern, easy-to-use telemedicine solution for non-emergency illnesses and general care. Members and their families have direct, no-cost, 24/7/365 access to state-licensed and fully credentialed physicians, via phone or video consultations, to receive treatment and advice for common ailments, including colds, the flu, rashes and more. When medically appropriate, a DialCare physician may prescribe a short term, non-DEA controlled medication for the member to pick up at the pharmacy of their choice.

Presently, TEN99 offers members access to two levels of plans provided by Aliera Healthcare. The first, PrimaCare, provides preventative and episodic primary, urgent care, labs and diagnostics and other care. It is very affordable and provides meaningful coverage for many day to day healthcare needs, but it does not provide for hospitalization and/or surgical benefits. Those are, however, included in the AlieraCare plans which combine primary and preventative care with a Hospitalization and Surgery Plan that provides more robust care.
There are no deductibles for primary or preventative care, whether acquired through the PrimaCare or AlieraCare plans. However, deductibles, known as Member Shared Responsibility Amounts (MSRA) are applied for the hospitalization and surgery benefits under the AlieraCare plans.
The Individual Shared Responsibility Payment (or individual mandate, or tax penalty) has been repealed and no longer will be in effect as of January 1, 2019. That said, we understand there may be questions regarding new members' eligibility to claim a waiver from the individual mandate, or tax penalty, for the remaining calendar tax year. For prospective members that have not had a break in qualified health coverage during 2018, the plans effective as of October 1, 2018 or later fall within the 90-day period of non-coverage, and qualify for an IRS waiver from the individual tax penalty. Now, while the Individual Shared Responsibility Payment (or individual mandate, or tax penalty) has been repealed and no longer will be in effect as of January 1, 2019, there are several things to understand about the penalty exemption for 2018:
It applies only to the first short gap in coverage during the year.
The gap in coverage has to be less than three months in duration. If you're uninsured for three or more months, you'll pay a prorated penalty representing the full duration of the gap.
People who became uninsured as of January 1, 2018 and enrolled on March 1, 2018 (using a special enrollment period triggered by loss of coverage at the end of 2017) will face a penalty, as they were uninsured for three months.
If you're insured for even a single day of a given month, you're considered insured for that month.
Because these plans are designed for specific markets, health share is not for everyone. However, folks and in particular families who are reasonably healthy, live a reasonable and healthy lifestyle, are free of drugs, drink moderately or not at all, do not smoke or are willing to quit can have the same or similar medical services available to them for approximately one half the cost of traditional insurance.
Yes. Health Share organizations are under the control and auspices of Health & Human Services which administers these entities through the CMS division. It is noted that the State DOI, which regulate insurance companies, are answerable to HHS/CMS also!
Pre-existing conditions have a 24 month waiting period under the AlieraCare plans. Furthermore, cancer coverage is provided after 12 months of continuous coverage if a pre-existing cancer condition did not exist prior or at the time of application.
A pre-existing condition is any illness or accident for which a person has been diagnosed, received medical treatment, been examined, taken medication, or had symptoms within 24 months prior to the application date. This would not, however, apply to the management of the condition at the Primary Care Physician level such as for regular PCP visits, bloodwork, etc., which would be covered.
Chronic care is care associated with any condition with which you have been diagnosed and are receiving ongoing management at a Primary Care Physician. Examples of such conditions would be diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, cholesterol, cardiac conditions, etc… Chronic maintenance is offered with PrimaCare and AlieraCare Premium Plans.

If you develop a chronic condition while on AlieraCare, maintenance, as well as hospital in-patient and out-patient benefits will be included once MSRA has been met. The coverage will continue until the Per Incident Maximum or Life-Time Maximum has been maxed out. PrimaCare will include maintenance for the condition as long as it takes place at the PCP, noting office visits are limited under the basic PrimaCare plan.
Should the condition require a higher level of care, because you cannot be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition, under the Affordable Care Act, you and your family can sign up for major medical insurance on the exchanges outside of the open enrollment period if you experience certain qualifying life events. Such qualifying life events include marriage, childbirth, loss of income and other major changes. In most cases, you have 60 days after the date that triggered the qualifying life event to purchase major medical health insurance coverage. Should a catastrophic event such as an accident or serious illness take place, it's likely that a loss of income will follow, hence generating a qualifying life event and thus the opportunity to enroll in more robust coverage on the exchanges that will provide the level of care that circumstances now deem necessary.
Shortly after enrolling, you will receive a welcome email directly from Aliera Healthcare that will provide a temporary membership card and explain how to activate your membership. Aliera provide a concierge service designed to help members navigate the healthcare system effectively and efficiently. Always call your telemedicine provider first when you have a medical issue. The contact information for your telemedicine provider is found on your membership card from the telemedicine provider.
Rx Valet is the prescription discount program offered to members who have enrolled in an Aliera Healthcare plan. You have the option of using either MedImpact or Rx Valet, so it’s worth comparing prices when selecting a service. Rx Valet works differently than most prescription drug programs in that you pay for your prescription online, then elect to either pick up the prescription at a participating pharmacy of your choice, or have it delivered to your home. Note, however, that arranging the first home delivery can take 2-3 weeks, so if you have an immediate need it’s best to pick up at a local pharmacy while beginning the home delivery process for future shipments.
